What We Do

Community Projects

We will not be accepting applications in 2022 while The Nathan Chris Baker Foundation is focusing on raising funds for Nate’s Place in Freedom Park. Thank you for your continued support in our community.

The Nathan Chris Baker Foundation has been the source of funding for numerous projects in the community. This funding has focused on projects that benefit children and families. In 2013, the foundation funded our first elementary school playground at Mechanicsville Elementary School in Sykesville, MD. NCBF assisted in fundraising over $100,000 dollars for this project. In 2013, the playground at Mechanicsville Elementary School was dedicated in memory of Nathan.

Since 2012, NCBF has donated over $170,000 to elementary schools to fund playgrounds here in Maryland. We have provided funds to the following schools; CarrollTowne Elementary, Sandymount Elementary, Runnymede Elementary, Spring Garden Elementary, North Bend Elementary and Manchester Elementary. We have also provided smaller donations to other playground projects in the area.

In 2015, NCBF agreed to work with the Carroll County Department of Recreation and Parks to fund a baseball field in the Winfield Community of Carroll County. The location is just across from Winfield Elementary School and will be maintained by the Winfield Recreation Council. NCBF has committed $30,000 to this project and will be the lone source of funding. We are very excited to be involved in this project and can't wait to see it completed.

NCBF is very proud of the work we have done in the community and our ability to assist in funding these great projects. We are hopeful that we can continue to partner with other groups and organizations to make the community GREAT.

Go Out. Be Great.
